Section I will present the theory, practice, and scope of ethics for the physical therapy professional. Section II will discuss the regulatory and legislative aspects. Therefore, this course will satisfy the two-hour mandatory requirement.
The standards of ethical practice and the references to the Codes of Ethics and Conduct Guides are according to the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) and the Federation of State Boards of Physical Therapy (FSBPT). Ethical issues related to professional practice will be discussed, steps to identify potential conflicts and strategies for decision making will be covered, and practices to avoid and resolve ethical issues will be included.
