Light to moderate exercise may benefit dementia patients by improving both symptoms and quality of life. The purpose of this course is to evaluate the evidence found in the literature on the advantages and applications of home-based exercise programs for patients with dementia. Several exercise modalities will be discussed as well as the effects of those programs on patients endurance, balance, ADLs, cognitive function, and mood.
